Gallbladder stones, also known as cholelithiasis, are formed by the precipitation and accumulation of bile constituents in the gallbladder. It contains a unique blend of mainly herbomineral ingredients like Sharpunkha, Kutki, Punarnava, Kalmegh, Devdangri, Bhrungraj, Bhumiamalaki, Yav-Kshar, Swarjika-Kshar, Surya-Kshar, Apamarg kshar, Talimkhana kshar, Arogyavardhini Vati, Narikellavan, etc., processed with decoction of Pittvirechak herbs. All of the ingredients are Pitta virechaka & Bhedan in action, which work together to reduce the size of gallbladder stones.

The duration of treatment required to achieve this effect may differ from person to person, but on average, it takes between 3 to 6 months. However, if the size of the stones is greater than 10mm, the duration of treatment may be longer, and additional medications along with GALLSTONIL may be required to aid in the management of the condition.

If the sizes of gallbladder stones are too big or multiple in numbers, some other medicines according to constitution can also be clubbed with tablet GALLSTONIL.

In cases where the stones are particularly large, additional medications may be used to complement the effects of GALLSTONIL. In some cases, surgical intervention may also be required to remove the stones if the medicine does not show any improving results.

It may be useful when having gallbladder pain. When the stone is stuck in the bile duct and does not move forward into the intestine, severe pain may start, which will continue for a few days without any relief. In such cases, surgery is required.

Ideally, it should be consumed in the middle of a meal with personalized anupan like warm water, honey, or herbal decoction as per the consulting.

Being Ushna & Lekhana in properties, it should be contraindicated in menorrhagia, metrorrhagia, pregnancy, and active peptic ulcer, Cachexia due to any other condition, ulcerative colitis or any other bleeding disorder.
