UDVARTAN – उद्ववर्तन
Application of herbal packs on various parts at body. It is the mixture of herbal powders with water / milk / honey / fruit juices.
Udvartan Procedure:-
The body portion of the Lepan should be cleaned. The herbal powders should be mixed with simple water / Rose water / milk / honey or fresh fruit juices, also cooked should be mixed with decoction or milk or with fresh herbal juice. Then application of the same mixture on the face / or that affected body part should be done. It should be kept for 20-30 min approximately or Till lepan to be dry)
Udvartan Indications: –
- Abscess
- Hyper pigmentation of skin.
- To prevent / correct the discoloration
- Skin disease
- To improve the tone & texture of the skin (Face or body skin)
- To reduce Pain / burning / itchy of the specific area
- Allergic skin rashes
- Skin diseases
- Edema
- Accidental swelling
Along with udvartan therapy Basti Panchakarma, Raktamokshan, Vaman, Virechana, Shirodhara, Lepan treatments are useful in fastening the disease recovery or relieving chronic eye diseases.
